Growing up, I was the kind of kid that the neighbors would ask to climb a tree and rescue their cat. I was FEARLESS. I am FEARLESS. That’s why it came as no surprise that I volunteered to become a US Army Paratrooper.
I was born in Nicaragua and raised in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Mexico. I came to Miami unaccompanied when I was 15 years old. I am proud of my Latin roots and serve on the Miami Beach Hispanic Affairs Committee. I lead my videos in English and Spanish to honor my heritage.
Being physically fit was essential to survival in combat. I was deployed in Baghdad for thirteen months serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I used working out as an escape from the stress and pressure from the grueling realities of war.
My military training instilled in me the value and importance of physical fitness to mental and overall health. I cope with PTSD and have overcome depression by staying disciplined with a consistent training schedule. I believe that fitness is the best way to overcome negative emotions, celebrate being alive, boost your self-confidence, improve your image and relationships, and to stay connected to people you love.
By day, I am a real estate agent and logistics professional. I have two Masters Degrees in International Business and Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Florida International University. Go Panthers!
